WUMM! The first Percussion Camp is going to start with a proper BANG!  And the emphasis is on proper!
Becoming acquainted with, developing and professionalising musical techniques and interpretational aspects. Improvisational training, reading skills, rudimental drumming, and ensemble performance. These are the main points of a large choice of themes that we have lined up for you in our seminar.

10 top course instructors will be accompanying the participants in the following fields:
* CLASSICAL PERCUSSION & MARCHING MUSIC
* VIBRAPHONE & MARIMBAPHONE
*DRUMSET JAZZ & POPULAR
*LATIN PERCUSSION
*BALAFON & AFRO DRUMMING
*BRAZILIAN PERCUSSION

The >ALLROUND< participants will be able to visit all the instruction departments, this with the help of a detailed timetable. They will also be able to choose their focal points during the seminar. In the area >ETHNO< we will be offering a special programme of AFRO-DRUMMING, BALAFON AND BRAZILIAN-PERCUSSION.

The cultural-educational organisation lies in Günter Meinhart`s hands. He is the director of STUDIO PERCUSSION graz, the STUDIO PERCUSSION school, and tutor at the University For Music And Performing Arts/Graz

Günter Meinhart makes a point of offering effective working methods, through professional organisation and continuity. This way, annual camps, with varying focal points, are scheduled up until 2011.

At the opening concert "WUMM!" the course instructors will be showing their professional prowess, accumulated from their international concert-playing experiences. Accompanying special lectures with the following themes will supplement the programme: ACOUSTICS, MEDICINE, AND BUSINESS.

Opened in 2002, this guesthouse offers modern premises and a comfortable infrastructure, ideal for the necessary conditions an intensive seminar requires. The Wellness area and the indoor swimming pool, with its unrivalled "Dolphinarium", make sure that relaxation and fun are provided for.
Children and youths will be looked after in their leisure time by trained teachers.
